    Emergency Notice

    Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025

    Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

    Attleborough (STRO12352) Notice

    In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to burst water main the use by vehicles (of any class) of the B1077 Queens Road from its junction with B1107 Exchange Street/Queens Square for 115m northwards (the “Road”) in the Town of Attleborough will be temporarily prohibited/restricted.

    Alternative route is via: Northwards: B1077 Queens Square / Church Street / Norwich Road, C572 Norwich Road / London Road, B1172 London Road / Station Road, A11, B1077 Queens Road and Southwards: B1077 Queens Road, A11, B1172 London Road / Station Road, A11, B1077 Norwich Road / Surrogate Street / Connaught Road / Connaught Plain / Exchange Street (Besthorpe, Attleborough, Wymondham).

    The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road or both.

    The closure is anticipated to take place from 22nd to 28th February 2025 but the Road may continue to be closed until the 14th March 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

    This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 14th March 2025 without further notice.

    If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.

    The works promoter for this closure is: Anglian Water.

    A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/ closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

  • Temporary Road Closure

    Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO12031) affecting the U78326 Guilers Lane from its junction with C140 Chapel Road for 1900m eastwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Spooner Row to facilitate Norfolk County Council patching works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 4th to 7th February 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 21st March 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

    Alternative route is via: Bunwell Road, Guilers Lane, Wattlefield Road, Wymondham Road, Mile Road, Besthorpe Road (Bunwell, Carleton Rode, Besthorpe, Spooner Row).

    Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

    The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 21st March 2025 without further notice.

    If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.
